SureSmile is a clear aligner orthodontic system that straightens your teeth much faster than traditional metal braces. After taking impressions of your teeth, a dental lab creates sets of plastic aligners for you to wear and digitally plans how your teeth will move throughout your treatment.
From the start of the process, you can see, through digital mapping, how we will move your teeth and what they will look like when you’re finished. You need to wear SureSmile aligners for 20-22 hours a day to achieve the best results and you will receive a new set of aligners every 2 weeks.

how it works: the suresmile process
Consultation
You’ll need to come in for a consultation with Dr. Zaidi so we can determine if you’re a good candidate for clear aligners after performing an oral exam and taking x-rays.
Impressions
If you’re a suitable candidate, we will take digital impressions of your teeth and send them to a dental lab that will create your custom-fit plastic aligners.
Digital Software
Using advanced digital mapping software, we can plan your entire orthodontic treatment with online 3D models of your teeth. You can choose between a set amount of aligners or unlimited.
Aligner Pickup & Fitting
Once your aligners have been fabricated, which will take a few weeks, you’ll return to the dental office to check how they fit and will begin your treatment.
Follow-Up Appointments
You will have routine follow-up appointments in Clarksburg to check on how your teeth are moving and to answer any questions or concerns you may have along the way. You will receive enough aligners to change them out every 2 weeks.
